Please join us Saturday, September 25th, for the 63rd St. Ann's Family Fair! For the second year in a row, the fair has been awarded the Gold Award by the readers of the Midland Reporter Telegram for the Best Annual Event. (Thank you Midland!) Come see what all of the fuss is about for yourself!
The day will begin with the St. Ann's Run to the Fair Fun Run. Check-in for the Fun Run begins at 7:30. The race will begin at 8:00 with the 1 mile run followed by the 5K and 10K runs. Registration is underway now. The fee is $20.00. Register by September 15th to receive a t-shirt. For more information contact Paul Porter.
The fair will begin at 10:00, with an opening prayer, and runs until 10:00 that evening. The carnival rides open Thursday from 6-10, Friday 6-10, Saturday 10-10, and Sunday 12-5. There are still plenty of volunteer opportunities! This is an excellent way for older kids to earn volunteer hours for Confirmation or Texas Scholars. Also, don't forget your raffle tickets! This year's prizes are 1st prize, a Harley Davidson motorcycle, 2nd prize, a 16GB ipad, and 3rd prize, a $1000.00 gift certificate to Carter's Furniture. For former St. Ann's students, we plan to take another group photo in front of the church at 4:30 on Saturday afternoon. After months of preparation, the 2nd Graders of St. Ann's School are set to celebrate their First Communion! Students whose last names begin with A-L will receive the sacrament at the Mass on April 24th while those students whose last names begin with M-Z will receive their's at the Mass on May 1st. Both Masses will begin at 10:00am. We are so happy and proud of these wonderful young people. Please join us to mark this very important step in their faith formation.

The date has been set for the 5th Annual Bishop's Golf Tournament benifittting the Catholic schools of the Diocess of San Angelo. You won't want to miss out, so mark your calendars for Saturday, August 28, 2010. Registration will begin at 7:30 at Hogan Park Quail Course with tee time at 8:30. Important news for second graders and their parents! First Communion Retreat dates are March 7th and 27th. Please make plans to attend one of these retreats. This is such a special time in the lives of your second graders, and the retreats present a wonderful opportunity for you to share your faith with them, as well as brush up on current church teachings. We look forward to seeing you there.

Please mark your calendars for the First Annual St. Ann's School "Run With the Spirit!" Fun Run. The dates are April 7th and 8th. The specific date and times for your child will be dependent on their grade and class. You should have received a packet in your Tuesday Folder detailing all of the important information. Please take note of the turn in date of March 9th for all sponsor sheets. This is also the last day to turn in t-shirt order forms. All proceeds will go towards the new lower grade Science Lab and the purchase of Smart Boards. Additional sponsor forms may be downloaded online. We encourage all students to participate in this very worthwhile fundraiser.
We would like to say a special congratulations to Emilee Hernandez for her winning t-shirt design! Thank you to everyone who submitted artwork for the t-shirt. If you would like to try again, you have another opportunity with the Family Fair. This year's theme is "Rejoice and Be Glad!" To be considered, entries must be turned in by Friday, March 5th. The winner will be announced at the first Family Fair meeting on March 8th. Good luck to everyone!
