House System
St. Ann’s Catholic School has a “House System” in middle school. Through this House System, the sixth, seventh, and eighth graders are divided amongst five houses: St. Bernadette, St. Blaise, St. Cecilia, St. Jude, St. Luke, St. Joan of Arc, and St. Michael. The students are assigned to their house at the beginning of sixth grade and remain until they graduate. The system creates opportunities for students to develop relationships with those in other grade levels, participate in Works of Mercy that help others, and create a sense of accountability and responsibility
Student Ambassadors
Our Student Ambassadors are exemplary middle schoolers (sixth through eighth) who represent the very best of our St. Ann’s School community. Selected for their outstanding character, leadership qualities, and commitment to our school's values, these ambassadors play a crucial role in fostering positive relationships and promoting a welcoming environment.
Role and Responsibilities: Student Ambassadors serve as liaisons between students, faculty, and the broader community. They participate in various school events, offer tours to prospective families, engage in outreach activities, and embody the spirit of St. Ann's through their actions and words. They inspire others to strive for excellence and represent our school at both school and church functions.
Qualifications and Selection: Student Ambassadors must maintain passing grades in all subjects and at least an 85 in conduct. Each ambassador must have two letters of recommendation from current or former teachers. They are chosen for their exceptional role modeling, leadership qualities, and responsible, respectful behavior both in and out of school.
Key Activities: Leadership in Events: Our Student Ambassadors lead important initiatives such as Red Ribbon Week and the Christmas Toy Drive. They also lead one Youth Mass at St. Ann's Catholic Church each month.
Community Engagement: Through their involvement in various activities, they help foster a strong sense of community and service within and beyond our school.
School Tours: Ambassadors offer tours to prospective families, showcasing our school’s environment, values, and opportunities all while ensuring visitors feel welcomed and informed.
At St. Ann's Catholic School, our Student Ambassadors are dedicated individuals who exemplify our values and inspire the entire school community to reach new heights of excellence.
Worship Assemble
Choir & Guitar
The St. Ann’s Worship Choir is an elective for students in seventh and eighth grade who have a passion for music and worship. These students sing at various events throughout the school year, including school Masses, Christmas caroling, and other special celebrations. Each student is placed in the appropriate vocal section and contributes to the choir’s angelic tone.
In addition to vocal performance, students may also participate by playing guitar, enriching the musical experience and supporting live worship. Whether singing or playing, each member plays a vital role in creating a joyful and reverent atmosphere. These students truly love to lead others in praise!
Chess Club
Established in the spring of 2023, the St. Ann’s Chess Club is open to students in grades 3–8. The club meets after school, where students learn the fundamentals of chess, build strategic thinking skills, and enjoy friendly competition.
The season culminates in a school-wide chess tournament, giving all members a chance to showcase their growth and understanding of the game.
